Neuroimaging Fear and the Amygdala: the Stress Diathesis Hypothesis
Mechanism of Action (MOA) animations offer a clear, concise, and easy-to-follow format designed to better enable participants to understand the intricacies of how the brain works and how drugs act in the brain. Audio guides synched to the animation further ensure that participants can follow along with ease and at their pace. This animation explains the involvement of the serotonin transporter gene in the activation of the amygdala and development of anxiety disorders.

Warriors versus Worriers
Mechanism of Action (MOA) animations offer a clear, concise, and easy-to-follow format designed to better enable participants to understand the intricacies of how the brain works and how drugs act in the brain. Audio guides synched to the animation further ensure that participants can follow along with ease and at their pace. This animation explains which allele of the catechol-O-methyltransferase gene confers protection in cases of adult life stressors.

Interaction of Biology and Environmental Stress in the Development of Affective Disorders
This presentation describes the symptom clusters of depression and links these symptoms to abnormal activity in different brain circuits. Particular focus is placed on the role of early life stress and the HPA axis in the development of abnormal neuronal activity and depressive symptoms. The presentation also describes how treatments could target the abnormal circuits to normalize activity and reduce symptoms of depression.
