| Overview
The Master Psychopharmacology Program is an educational program that allows you, as a mental health professional, to customize and follow an educational curriculum targeted to your specific needs by:
- Providing a set of competency benchmarks in each therapeutic area of mental health based on standards in the field
- Providing tools for self-assessment of baseline competency on those benchmarks
- Providing personalized feedback on current potential gaps as well as lists of resources to use in order to address areas in which competency is less than desired
- Providing regular and timely activities, in various online media, that teach to the competency benchmarks
- Providing tools for re-assessment of competency
- Providing a portal in which you can manage your progress
Requirements of the Master Psychopharmacology Program include completion of the following activities (all available on the NEI Membership Web site in the Master Psychopharmacology portal).
- 10 self-assessment exams
- 6 articles
- 6 snippets (mini-lectures)
- 6 animations
- 6 clinical cases
- Final exam
With the exception of the final exam, all content can be completed in any order. However, we recommend that you take the self-assessment exams first in order to gain a baseline assessment of the areas in which you would benefit from further study. Additionally, although self-assessment exams can be taken for CME credit only once, they can be retaken as many times as desired in order to assess your progress and readiness for the final exam. |
